Canadian Farmhouse Project

In 2004, my wife and I were looking for cheap land, and found that northern Ontario had some very nice land for pretty cheap. So we packed the 4 kids in the car one cold November and drove and looked at a few places in Canada to buy. We found a 400 acre farm, with a farmhouse and huge barn. The farmhouse was 'under renovation', but we were really just looking for a lot of land for our 4 boys to grow up 'playing' on. So for the last few years we've been slowly getting the farmhouse in shape, and every summer we go up and live there for 2-3 months.
